European banana producers have been warned that all exports to the UK from third world countries could be well diverted to European Union (EU) post Brexit, and this would put immense pressure on EU markets. This was one of the decisions arrived at a meeting of EU banana producers, held earlier this year in Paris, to discuss the future of the industry.   The meeting of the Banana Producers’ Association of Europe (APEB) was attended by industry representatives from several countries including France, Portugal and Spain.
